Katz Banks Kumin partner Alexis Ronickher spoke at a MWELA CLE, “Contagious Enthusiasm: Employment Protections for COVID Whistleblowers.”

As businesses begin to reopen across the country and in the Washington D.C. area, employees – many of whom are low-wage service workers – will likely have to work under unsafe conditions while there is still the possibility of catching an incurable and potentially fatal virus.

Ms. Ronickher spoke about what protections exist for employees who do complain to their employers about violations of safety protocols and regulations.

The presentation included a Q&A for attorneys, practitioners, and employers, and a discussion on different protections for public and private employees.
