Debra Katz Authors Op-Ed for Chicago Tribune on Aviation Whistleblowers
In a new opinion article for the Chicago Tribune, KBK Partner Debra Katz calls for whistleblowers in aviation to come forward following news of a panel blowing off a Boeing 737 MAX aircraft during a recent Alaska Airlines flight.
In the piece, Ms. Katz explains that, “there are real questions about the critical safety issues that have flown under the radar for too long, and somebody, at an aircraft manufacturer, at a federal agency, knows the true story of how we arrived here, and what needs to change.”
KBK has deep experience in representing aviation employees, including representing thirteen United Airlines employees who alleged that they were retaliated against for refusing to fly on a passenger aircraft after learning of a credible and specific threat to the safety of the aircraft, its passengers and crew.
