On April 11, Katz Banks Kumin partner Debra Katz had the honor of participating in Shakespeare Theatre Company's mock trial series with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. The event, entitled "A Hero Defamed? Much Ado About Margaret," was based on the classic comedy "Much Ado About Nothing," and was presided over by Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer. After an evening of laugher and well-crafted arguments, the court almost unanimously ruled in favor of Ms. Katz, who represented the character Hero as she pursued damages from Margaret related to defamation.
