How to Represent Prominent Clients in the #MeToo Era

April 30, 2019

Katz Banks Kumin partners Debra Katz and Lisa Banks presented at the 2019 Pacific Coast Labor & Employment Law Conference. The annual meeting is an opportunity for the employment bar to convene and discuss the landscape of labor law. Each year the conference is programmed to reflect the most current topics relevant to employment professionals.

Ms. Katz and Ms. Banks both presented on the panel, “High Profile Cases in the #MeToo Era,” about the strategy of using the press in high-profile employment matters. Both Ms. Katz and Ms. Banks have experience representing clients involved in prominent political and social cases, and understand how parties can use the media as a tool to shift the public’s sentiments. Recently, Ms. Katz reflected on her experience representing Dr. Christine Blasey Ford before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
