How your Workplace Culture Can Put Your Business at Risk

December 4, 2018

Katz Banks Kumin partner Lisa Banks spoke at the Wall Street Journal’s 11th Annual CEO Council Meeting. The annual meetings are designed to tackle issues related to the rapid political, social, and technological changes that C-Suite executives face in today’s world. The speakers included leaders in government and the business world, and experts in fields crucial to businesses in navigating emerging challenges.

Ms. Banks spoke on the panel, “When Workplace Culture = Business Risk.” In the fourteen months since the beginning of the #MeToo movement, countless companies and brands have come under intense public scrutiny for their handling of sex discrimination issues, such as sexual harassment and pay inequity. Ms. Banks discussed how corporate boards can begin to create healthier and more comfortable workplaces for their employees, and thus avoid PR nightmares.

Joining Ms. Banks was Tina Tchen, a partner at Buckley Sandler. They were interviewed by Jamie Heller, a business editor at the Wall Street Journal.
