Lisa Banks Discusses Changes affecting Whistleblower Protections at ALI CLE Program

Katz Banks Kumin partner Lisa Banks spoke at an ALI Continuing Legal Education program titled, “Whistleblower Law: Attorney-Client Privilege and Other Lessons from Bio-Rad.” Ms. Banks discussed the recent Bio-Rad Laboratories court decision stating that a whistleblower could use as evidence otherwise privileged materials. The program covered the consequences of this ruling, in addition to whistleblower protections under Dodd-Frank and Sarbanes Oxley, SEC rules vs. state ethical rules, and internal reporting. Ms. Banks was joined by Robert E. Hauberg, Jr. of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, and Jason C. Schwartz of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.
