Katz Banks Kumin partner Lisa Banks moderated a panel at the 10^th Annual ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law Conference, entitled, “The Pursuit of Compromise: An Examination of Settlement Strategies and Techniques in Single-Plaintiff Litigation (Fundamentals).” The panel explored settlement strategies in individual litigation, such as proper valuation, use and timing of offers, strategy and timing for alternative dispute resolution, sufficient pre-settlement formal and informal discovery, insurance considerations and other general negotiation strategies. Joining Ms. Banks on the panel were Hon. David Coar (ret.) of JAMS,  Lisa Krupicka of Burch Porter & Johnson PLLC, Brian LaClair of Blitman & King LLP and Corie Pauling of TIAA-CREF.
