Katz Banks Kumin partner Alexis Ronickher moderated a D.C. Bar panel discussion entitled “Supreme Court Update – Digital Realty v. Somers.” In Digital Realty, the Supreme Court ruled that whistleblowers must report potential violations of securities laws to the SEC to be protected from retaliation under the Dodd-Frank Act, and that simply informing one’s employer is not sufficient.
The panel reviewed the decision and its widespread ramifications for whistleblowers and employers.
